Panacea for Oily Skin Acne Problems

Oily skin... this is a blessing and at the same time a curse. A blessing because oily skin tends to catch the signs of aging much later, compared to other skin types while a curse because you may have to face skin problems like pimples and acne throughout your life. The basic difference between oily skin and dry skin or normal lies in the fact that the oil glands are more active and continuously release sebum. This leads to different skin problems such as acne, pimples and many more.
If you compare the category also, you will find that oily skin acne is different from dry skin acne. There are a number of acne products available in the market, which can be beneficial for removing them, but you need to choose the perfect product for your skin type. For example, if you have dry skin, you have to choose acne cream acne oil, acne lotion etc. However if you have oily skin, you may have to go for acne cleanser, acne oil free face wash etc.
In oily skin, the oil glands are bigger and for this reason, they are more active to release sebum and oil. If you have oily skin, you must have noticed a sticky T-zone all the time. The extra stimulation of sebum leads to fatty acids, which creates acne. If the oil secretion increases, it may lead to inflammation and an acute acne problem. The sebum also brings the dead cells with them, which damage the follicle cells of our body. For this reason, it is very important to keep your skin as clean as possible all the time.
Oily skin tends to get oily very easily, so washing your face with proper oil free cleanser is very important. Every time you will wash your face with a face wash, complete the process with a good toner and oil free moisturizer. You can repeat the entire process twice or thrice a day. Whenever you will feel the necessity to clean your face, you can wash, be it three times or four times a day. Apart from this, you may have to apply some medicines for treating oily skin acne. Read on...
Benzoyl Peroxide: This acne medication is an ideal acne treatment. It works two ways. First, it stops spreading the bacteria, which spreads acne through the sebum. Second, this medicine actually peels off the dead cells from our body.
Sulfur, resorcinol, and salicylic acids: This is one of the oldest methods to get rid of acne. This mixture works best of the tender skin like your face. You have to use them twice a week in order to experience a blemish-free skin. It also can remove blackheads.
Topical antibiotics: There are different types of acne. If you have papules or postules, the topical antibiotics may help you a lot. This medicine restricts spreading the bacteria through oil, but without making the skin dry. However, you have to complete the cycle with moisturizing.
Retin-A: Retin-A or retinoic acid is another medicine for treating oily skin acne. It removes the dead cells from our skin cells. But using this medicine has a disadvantage, as it may worsen your acne problem a bit at first. However, regular use may zero down your acne problem in two months.
