Threading Versus Waxing - A Comparision

Every few weeks, women are faced with the chore of removing hairs from their body. For some of us body hair management becomes a chore at certain point. You just want to get this done so that you could go on with your life and do things that are really important for you. For others, it is an essential step of looking and feeling good. They are the ones who want to make sure to put their best foot forward, or in this case, their best face forward.
No matter which of the above two types you fall in, you have to make a decision whether you want to go the painful route of waxing, or rather use the Eastern tradition of threading. Each of the above has its own advantages. Lets consider these individually to find what you might miss when you prefer one or the other.
Waxing

  • Waxing pretty much takes the same as amount of time as threading.
  • Using Waxing for hair removal may be more painful for those who are not used to it. Imagine adhesive tape on your skin and pull it off. When it comes off, it not only pulls the hair that you want to remove, it also pulls off part of the skin. That is where the pain comes from.
  • One of the troubles with waxing is that it is a little too invasive. If you do it more often, the end result might make your skin a little loose and saggy. This is also a side effect of the skin being in contact with the adhesive.

Threading

  • One of the problems with threading is that it is a little difficult to perform on yourself. That being said, a lot of women train themselves over time to remove hairs by threading themselves.
  • Threading is a burn free method. It does not burn your skin as no hot wax is involved.
  • Since no chemicals are involved in the process, it is not allergic for anyone. On the other hand, waxing may cause allergic reactions to some people.
  • Perhaps one of the most important aspect where threading wins over waxing is the flexibility of the shape that can be created by skillful hands of a beautician. Eyebrows can get any desired shape that will be difficult to obtain from waxing.

Now that you know the basic difference in the two methods, it will be easier for you to decide which one of the methods is better for you.
